Superbowl Sunday, Literally.

Call me super cheesy, but this year I'm taking Superbowl Sunday quite literally. As in, enjoying a bowl full of super foods as opposed to super crap. I was inspired by a recent Master Class with the lovely Ksenia of Breakfast Criminals at an NYC fave, Le Pain Quotidien for what I like to refer to as "the art of a better breakfast." We mastered delicious, fuel-filled breakfast creations by getting generous with superfood toppings. And so to that, here are a few savory & sweet "superbowl" creations that you can make this Sunday, football fan or not.

While everyone else is retoxing, you can get ahead of the game by detoxing with this Roasted Eggplant & Tahini Bowl

The fun thing quinoa (or, one of the fun things) is its versatility in all types of dishes, especially in this Superfood Quinoa Breakfast Bowl. Think of it as an alternative to your morning oatmeal, and something that is so easy to make.

Enjoy your smoothie...in a bowl! Because sometimes it's just more fun to eat it with a spoon and extra delicious toppings. This Acai Berry Bowl is bursting with vitamins and minerals and also very easy to throw together very quickly.

And of course, no proper gathering would be complete without some classic homemade guacamole and this DELICIOUS hummus, for better Sunday dipping.

(P.S. Hurry and get 20% off LPQ's pantry essentials, here. I particularly love their Raw Crunola and Caravan Mix.)

Boxes Full Of Love

February is upon us, and with that, thoughts of love will be floating around. I have fallen head over heels for Valleybrink Road's gift boxes that are perfect for any occasion, including that lovely little holiday that starts with a "V." Whether it's a special love nudge for him or for her, a gift to welcome someone into their new home, a way to shower the new mom and/or baby with lovely things or for that sweet beauty guru in your life, you are covered. Good (amazing) things come in small, clever boxes. So share the love, with whomever it may be.

Good To Know

Get your pH level in check. Because "when your body is in an alkaline state, it becomes more resistant to disease, inhibiting the growth of pathogenic organisms like bad bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi and even cancer." - Chalkboard Magazine. The best way to alkalize your body? Through your diet. Here are eighty (yes, eighty) very alkalizing foods to help balance your bod. Sing those praises next time you eat avocados, almonds, kale and quinoa galore.

There's a new kind of balm company around Etsy town called balmandco that small batches luscious lip balms (like Matcha Mint, Citrus Ginger and Cocoa Cardamom) using vegan, handmade and fair trade ingredients. It all started when the founder's 7 year old daughter said "I want to make lip balms and sell them, momma." The sweetest.

Did you know that you can grow your own avocado plant?! I don't know about you, but that floods me with happiness. Check out how, here. And even better, you can plant them in these super clever avocado planters. And then once you successfully grow them, whip them up in this Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse. On. Cloud. Nine.

To a super filled weekend ahead!

Be well,
