Temperatures are quickly rising out there and by now you've probably switched your morning routine to include iced cold brew coffee and have stocked your fridge with some items to help cool you down. Well, if you're going to cool down then you may as well do it in good company. And if you're going to have a fiesta this summer, then you may as well go all out. We're talking cacti-inspired brunches with avocado donuts and avocado piñata. I've also rounded up a few fun finds and links for you to peruse and hopefully help you to ease in to the weekend and sunny summer days ahead.

Chill Out In Good Company

What's cooler than being cool? ...Okay, we won't go there, but I did nearly drool over this Matcha Mint Chip Ice Cream. All you need is coconut milk, matcha, fresh mint or mint extract, maple syrup and dark chocolate for a sweet summer treat that'll make your taste buds dance.

If matcha isn't quite your thing then you may fall head over heels for Salted Chocolate Dipped Banana Almond Pops. A mouthful, literally, but a worthy one at that. With the bananas, almond milk, almond butter and honey, it's essentially a frozen smoothie that could easily be a breakfast, post-workout or evening treat!

White Currant and Coconut Gin Popsicles? Dreams really do come true. May as well get a bit creative with your 5 o'clock delights this summer.

Have A Fiesta!

Especially if it involves cacti and avocado things. Because how neat is this cactus inspired brunch?! I would host it every single weekend if I could. And not that I'm biased or anything, but those avocado donuts with matcha frosting are pure genius.

And you can't quite beat a fiesta without an avocado piñata....

So then do flatbread fiestas count? Most definitely. One particular blogger that I adore, Dolly and Oatmeal, has some fantastic flatbread recipes that are sure to be crowd-pleasers for summer gatherings and entertaining.

First things first, this beautiful spring onion and pea flatbread. It's a little of this and a little of that. Char them a bit and get generous with the drizzle of olive oil and I'd say that the only thing missing to make you feel like you're in Italy is a bottle of Chianti.

Garlic and pesto lovers will love this garlic flatbread with herb-spinach pesto and sprouts. Simple and delicious, just as it should be.

For something with additional texture and to get more from your bite, try this lovely chickpea flour flatbread with new potatoes and fresh basil. Just the thought of fresh basil gives me the warm and fuzzies. It's so perfect for the season.

Break out the hummus to accompany and you've got yourself a partay. Those gin popsicles would do the trick, too.
