Get a healthy kickstart on your fall wellness habits by signing up (and joining me) for this Haven's Kitchen x bonberi class on September 17. Chef and author Doris Choi will be revealing her Asian-influenced vegan dishes and showing you that eating raw can be both easy and delicious. The gals from bonberi will discuss some of their top tips on how to eat, cook and thrive during the early fall months. And no class is complete without a curated wellness gift bag, so get in on this while it's hawt. 

Sunday Suppers shouldn't just be a thing of the past. Lucky for us, this adorable co-op shop & studio in Brooklyn is making it a thing and they're hosting a Salt of the Earth supper on September 21. This cooking class + seated dinner includes an overview of salt and how to use various kinds in your cooking techniques at home. Learn a thing or ten and then enjoy a beautiful pairing of seasonal plates with a selection of natural and infused salts. And yes, wine will be included. 

Crafty ladies, get excited. A new educational & playful creative space has opened in Willyburg where they'll host hands-on workshops, master classes and conversations with some of this city's leading artists, designers, makers and thinkers. Workshops include kitchen cabinet skincare, cement casing and homemade bitters.

Give Me That Glow

...Because you can never have enough morning smoothie recipes to nurse your skin back to good health. This AM Glow Smoothie is rich in calcium, protein, potassium, antioxidants and omega 3s where regular consumption can result in a beautiful glow. Ingredients include almond milk, banana, frozen blueberries, chia and flax, cacao nibs and peanut butter - although if it were me, I would replace the peanut butter for almond butter and swirl in a little coconut oil. 

Turmeric on your face? Get to know the benefits of this potent spice and then blend it into a face mask to help combat any problem areas for beautiful, glowing skin. The wonderful thing about this mask is that it only combines three ingredients: turmeric powder, rice flour (alternatively, finely ground oats) and plain yogurt.
