What a week. We've got National Pancake Day happening today, Instagram feeds being taken over by those colorful Mardi Gras inspired King Cakes, and low and behold...Bon Appetit informed me yesterday that it's Sriracha Week. Don't we already celebrate sriracha "week" as though it's our daily mantra - "what can I put sriracha on today?"
I'm always inspired by a nice Do It Yourself recipe, but there's nothing quite as satisfying as reaching for that big green capped Red Rooster bottle whose contents can be generously squeezed on your plate in an art-like manner. That chili pepper sure does lend its hand in giving our tastebuds a dance, opening up those sinuses, and even bringing tears to our eyes. What gives?!
